General information:

We moved to our current facility in 1967, having resided in the Cape Flats prior to that time. The facility has served us well and the steel framed doors and windows have held up for many years. However, after 45 years and thousands of children passing through the home, it is time to upgrade our windows and doors. The added maintenance cost of keeping less than satisfactory windows operational is not cost effective.

We are celebrating our 75th year of continuous service to chronically ill children. We plan to have several celebrations highlighting that important milestone, and would like to have our facility reflect the readiness of St. Joseph’s Home to mark that date, and to be fully prepared to continue the legacy for another 75 years to come.

Your support of R490 000 or R125 000 per ward will enable us to replace all the remaining windows and doors in our medical ward.
