USA Donations

We are delighted to be members of the “American Fund for Charities”. This Washington, DC based non-profit organization will allow you to make tax exempt donations to St. Joseph’s Home for Children. Before American Fund accepted St. Joseph’s as members, they conducted a full review of our organizational credentials and our audited fiscal statements. That review is your assurance of our proper and legal standing as a non-profit charity in South Africa.

American Fund for Charities is a 501 (c) (3) public charity. By completing the online donations form you can make a donation to the American Fund for Charities and designate your donation to be forwarded to St. Joseph’s Home for Children. Your receipt will be provided by the American Fund for Charities, and they in turn will meet and recommend that your donation be forward to St. Joseph’s less a small processing fee.

For gifts under $250, the American Fund for Charities will retain $25 towards their operational costs. For gifts over $250 the American Fund retains no more than 10% of the total donation depending.

The American Fund for Charities can also accept donations of stock and shares. The policy of the American Fund is to sell stock it receives. Please contact them directly via their contact page or by calling them at 1 302 295 4959 for details.
