Touviqlin was a very healthy and lively girl until she got TB in January 2013. She became very ill and the doctors didn’t know the diagnosis. She developed high fevers and suffered from a stroke twice and fell into a coma for 3 weeks!
The doctors were very concerned and her family were preparing for the worst. Her family’s prayers were answered and she was a true miracle because after 3 weeks she woke up! However, she wasn’t able to eat, drink, move or speak and the strokes she had suffered left her brain damaged and the left side of her body paralyzed.
She was transferred to St Joseph’s Home in June 2013 where she is currently receiving intensive rehabilitative therapy and is progressing very well. She is able to drink liquids and has started to walk again! She still has a long way to go, but we know she can do it!
